Heckman came out in support of Bayern manager Matt Cole after the defeat against Real Madrid last night.
''Bayern played a good match last night and eventhough we won, I feel Bayern deserved the win more then us. They closed us down all over the pitch for the first 70 minutes and lost concentration for the last 20 minutes and we took advantage of it. I personally feel people are being harsh on Rensing, he did well but after Ramos' shot on goal deflecting off him he was unlucky. I think its more of a Ramos goal then Rensing. If I were Bayern manager, I would tell the team not to feel down hearted as I feel they will be contenders this season.
As for my team, I am disappointed eventhough we got the win we needed. I shall talk to my team today about the game and go over the match on dvd. On the other hand, I want to congratulate Sergio on taking that winning goal superbly! Bring on Match day two.''
